How a Gift Allegedly Triggered Jennifer Hudson Murders

Jennifer Hudson’s sister, Julia, celebrated turning 31 on Oct. 23 with cake and a small party at home.

Jennifer’s video shoot postponed

Jennifer Hudson has cancelled the shoot for her new video - just days after she announced she was ready to go back to work following the murder of three members of her family.

The Oscar-winning actress/singer was due to start shooting the promo for her latest single, If It Isn’t Love, in October, but was forced to scrap the plans and return to her native Chicago, Illinois, after her mother, brother and nephew were killed.

Earlier this week, Hudson announced she would begin filming the postponed project next week, but has now reportedly put the plans on hold once again, after deciding she is not yet ready to face work.

A source tells Usweekly.com, “The video was set up before the tragedy and she felt like she should finish what she started, but she’s realised that she’s not ready to go back to work. It’s too early.”

Jennifer Hudson suffering the murders of her mother, brother and nephew, expressed gratitude Thursday for her four Grammy nominations for her debut album.

“It’s been a childhood dream of mine to release an album,” she said in a statement, “so to receive four Grammy nominations is truly a blessing. I’m extremely honored and humbled by the nominations.”

Hudson, 27, was nominated for best R&B album for her self-titled album, best female R&B vocal performance, best R&B song for “Spotlight” and best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocals for her duet with Fantasia, “I’m His Only Woman.”

The nominations were announced on the same day her estranged brother-in-law, William Balfour, was ordered held without bail in the Chicago shooting deaths of Hudson’s mother Darnell Donerson, 57, brother Jason Hudson, 29, and nephew, Julian King, 7.
